Boy said to be in balloon found in attic of Colorado home

(NECN: Fort Collins, CO) – The Sheriff’s department says the boy believed to be aboard a runaway balloon has been found safe and sound. Jim Alderden, from the Larimer County Sheriff’s Dept. says the boy, 6-year-old Falcon Heene was found at his home. The balloon floated over Colorado for two hours before landing in a field. Alderden says Falcon was at home during the whole ordeal, hiding in a cardboard box in the attic above the garage. Alderden says the boy’s parents were “besides themselves” searching for him.
