Coakley to review deleted e-mails case
(NECN: Boston, Mass.) – Massachusetts Attorney General Martha Coakley is
reviewing the case of e-mails deleted by a top aide to Boston Mayor
Tom Menino for possible violations of state public records law. Coakley said her office is working with Secretary of State
William Galvin, who ordered the city make the e-mails public. State
law requires municipal employees to save e-mails for two years. Late Tuesday, city officials said they turned over a second
computer used by aide Michael Kineavy to forensic experts. Menino
said Kineavy will go on an unpaid leave. Click here to read more from the Globe. Scott Helman of The Boston Globe joins NECN for a discussion.
