Gadhafi blames West for Holocaust, says Arabs not hostile towards Jews

(NECN: United Nations) – In his first U.N. appearance, Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi chastised the world body for the strained relationship between Arab nations and Israel. “We need a new generation in which everyone lives in peace,” said Gadhafi. “This conflict poisons the world. This white book actually has the solution and I hear give it to you,” said Gadhafi. “Arabs have not hostility nor animosity towards Israel. We are from the same race. We want to live in peace,” said Gadhafi. “You are the ones who brought upon them the Holocaust. You are the ones who burnt them, not us,” said Gadhafi. “You are the ones who annihilated them. We provided them with protection. We are not hostile. We are not enemies of the Jews,” said Gadhafi. “The Jews will one day need the Arabs,” said Gadhafi. Since the world body was founded in 1945, Gadhafi said it had failed to prevent or intervene in dozens of wars around the world.
