Gibbs discusses beer choices for Gates-Crowley meeting

(NECN: Washington) – The White House says plans are under way for Professor Gates and Sergeant Crowley to join President Obama for a beer. Spokesman Robert Gibbs says he hopes the two men will have a drink with the president this week. Gibbs was asked Monday what the men would be drinking. “Officer Crowley is drinking Blue Moon,” a reporter said. “We hear Professor Gates is drinking Red Stripe or Beck’s. What’s the president drinking?” Gibbs said he was unsure, but said the president drank a Budweiser at the All Star game.
