Missing boy found by Illinois investigators at grandma's house

(NECN/WSIL: Franklin County, IL) – A boy allegedly abducted two years ago during a custody dispute is found alive, hidden behind a wall at his grandmother’s house. Illinois authorities discovered 6-year-old Ricky Chekevdia Friday. He disappeared with his mother in 2007 Police say she had been holding him captive in a secret room. The small room is only 12 feet long and about as high as a washing machine. Police say he was never allowed outside. The good news, officers say Ricky is adjusting well. Ricky remains in police custody and no word if he’s been told about his father. His mother and grandmother now face one to three years in prison.
