Obama orders ice cream for Malia, Sasha

(NECN: Yellowstone National Park, Wyo.) – While visiting Yellowstone National Park on Saturday, the first family stopped for some ice cream, after watching Old Faithful shoot off. President Barack Obama ordered for his daughters, Malia and Sasha, and his sister Maya Soetoro-Ng’s family, who joined the first family on the trip. Malia ordered strawberry, but took some time to decide on having it in a cup. Sasha went with ‘Stuck in a Rut’ in a cup with a cone. After everyone received their ice cream, the president snapped a photo with the shop’s employees. The Obamas also visited Grand Canyon National Park on Sunday. The visits come during one of three summer weekends when the administration has waived entrance fees at 147 national parks and monuments to spur tourism and boost local economies. Yellowstone’s official web cam was out of service during the first family’s visit on Saturday. The president had been in Montana on Friday, discussing the proposed health care reform plan, much like he did in New Hampshire earlier in the week.
