President out west trying to whip up support for health care reform

(NECN/ABC) – President Obama and the first family are out west this weekend visiting some of America’s most beautiful natural wonders including Yellowstone National Park. But this isn’t just a sightseeing trip Mr. Obama has gone to talk about health care reform. Saturday night he held a health care town hall in Grand Junction Colorado, an area that voted overwhelmingly republican in last year’s election. The stop comes on the heels of Saturday night’s meeting in Montana where the President faced some pointed, but civil questions, about how he will pay for the plan to reform the nation’s health care system, a process that has caused his once sky-high approval ratings to fall. Around the nation there has been negative feed back at many town hall meetings as average Americans have questioned lawmakers about changes to the nation’s health care system. This weekend members of Congress from coast to coast are meeting with voters to explain and sometimes defend the reform legislation they are expected to undertake when they return to Capitol Hill next month. ABC News reporter John Cochran has more.
