U.S. Representative Katherine Clark, a Democrat serving Massachusetts' 5th Congressional District, was elected last December to succeed Ed Markey; because she's filling out a term, she's already up for re-election and faces a primary challenger on Sept. 9.

She says she understands the responsibility she has when facing votes on security and war.

"As the mother of three teenage boys, I take sending anybody's child into harm very seriously as well as protecting and increasing our homeland security, but you know, we're going to what anybody would do in my shoes: Get the best information, find out, ask the hard questions and make the best assessment that I can," she said.

Clark also talks at length about President Obama, Congress and ISIS.
