Rumor: Palin settling down in Ocean State

(NECN: Anchorage, Alaska) – The latest rumor in an Alaskan newspaper concerning the future of former governor Sarah Palin involves her moving to Rhode Island. The column in the Alaska Daily News cites “the grapevine” as its source in reporting the rumor that Palin has decided to “settle in Rhode Island with $7 million from her book and a contract with FOX.” The rumor also has Palin never running for political office again. So it would appear Rhode Island Gov. Don Carcieri’s job is safe for now. The column, known as Alaska Ear, appears to be a sort of political version of The Inside Track. It offered this disclaimer when sharing the rumor: Ear doesn’t vouch for any of this so please don’t write to complain about how it’s just another silly rumor. Of course it’s not true (probably) but it’s not untruer than all the other stuff being written. Rhode Island’s Republican Party said that it would welcome the former vice presidential candidate, but would surprised five the state’s democratic leanings. Palin’s office did not comment on the rumor. ***** Alaska Ear [Anchorage Daily News]
