BC's Herzlich determined to help from the sidelines

(NECN: Carolyn Manno, Chestnut Hill, Mass.) – Frank Spaziani will make his head coaching debut for the Boston College football team Saturday against Northeastern. Spaziani has waited for this day for a long time. One of his best players was too, until his future plans got put aside by an unexpected obstacle. Mark Herzlich returned to campus on Saturday after spending the summer in treatment for Ewing’s Sarcoma. A rare form of bone cancer. Herzlich is happy to be back on campus. He will attend practices, and travel with the team all while still taking classes and continuing his treatment.
