Pitt rallies to stun UConn 24-21

(NECN/ABC: Pittsburgh, Pa.) – On the final play of the game, Dan Hutchins kicked an 18-yard field goal to push Pittsburgh to the schools biggest comeback under head coach Dave Wannstedt, beating the University of Connecticut Huskies 24-21. Pitt rallied from down 21-6 near the end of the third quarter, out-gaining UConn 147-6 in the fourth quarter. The Panthers’ previous biggest comeback under Wannstedt came in a 36-33, four-overtime win at Notre Dame last season, when they trailed by 14. Video courtesy of ABC Sports.
