Tom Brady: “Pretty special victory”

(NECN: Mike Giardi – Foxborough, MA) – The Patriots opened their season with a win on Monday Night Football. But it took another Tom Brady come-back for New England to beat the Bills. Brady and the Pats struggled early and were down 24 to 13 with just minutes left in the game. But with just 2:10 on the clock Brady found Ben Watson for an 18-yard touchdown cutting Buffalo’s lead to five. The Bills Leodis McKelvin then tried to return the ensuing kick-off from deep in the end-zone. But Pierre Woods stripped him and kicker Stephen Gostowski recovered the ball. Minutes later, Brady found Watson again, this time it was a 16-yard score to give the Pats the lead. They hold on to beat the Bills 25 to 24. Brady finished 39 of 53 for 378 yards in his first game back since last year’s knee injury. The Pats visit the Jets next week.
