Boston Globe Leads Charge to Support Free Press

In response to President Donald Trump’s repeated attacks on the press, The Boston Globe’s editorial board asked the editorial boards of newspapers from around the country to use their pages to defend free press from government attacks on Thursday. More than 400 newspapers did so, writing editorials, calling for more support of free press. President Trump was not a fan of the move. Alex Kingsbury, deputy editor of the Boston Globe Ideas section joins Chris to discuss.
