Turtle Crossing Signs Cause Controversy in Chelmsford, Mass.

With a pond on one side and a creek on the other, it’s not uncommon to find a turtle along Cathy Road in Chelmsford, Massachusetts. But for Kathy Leslie, it was becoming too common to see a squished turtle. So she asked the town to put up turtle crossing signs. But controversy forced the town to put it back in its shell, so to speak. At least one homeowner up the street said the signs on their property would bring down its value.
