I've expressed some question over the last day or two over how quickly a passing cold front will traverse New England this coming Saturday - some indications have been most of the day could be quite showery, but I've been holding out hope that a fast-moving system with trouble organizing would mean less precipitation to interfere with outdoor Saturday plans. The trend by my Wednesday morning forecast was clear - not only a lack of organization, but also a frontal system that moves quickly enough to be departing Saturday, allowing for partial clearing. The only trade-off will be an earlier arrival of cool air Saturday...but the bulk of the cold should still wait until Sunday.
