Tropical Storm Danny heads for Northeast

(NECN) – NECN meteorologist Matt Noyes says advisories are in place for residents of New England to prepare them for the possibility of heavy rains and flooding as Tropical Storm Danny heads this way. Forecasters said Thursday that Danny is expected to pass about 75 miles east of Nantucket on Saturday, more than 100 miles closer than Hurricane Bill last weekend. The National Weather Service says winds could reach 50 mph on Nantucket and outer Cape Cod and up to 35 mph in Boston.
