Forecast: Cool, Showers

Clouds for many today will give way to clouds for most tonight. There still could be a spot shower this evening, but many places will be quiet with lows in the 40s and 50s. Tides are still running high due to the new moon, and winds are still onshore, so there also could be some minor splash over during high tide. Mother’s Day will bring morning clouds, and a band of showers moving across western New England during the morning. That will move east and arrive around Boston during the lunch hour before shifting into Maine during the afternoon. Behind the showers it will turn windy with sun returning. Highs in the 50s and 60s. Monday will be sunny in southern New England, with highs in the 60s. Clouds and a few showers will pop up across the higher terrain of northern New England with 50s there. Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday look nice with partly cloudy skies and highs in the 60s to around 70. A few showers are possible by Friday.
