(AP/NECN: Deanna Morgan, Boston) -  A Quincy woman is headed to court to face charges in connection with the death of a 1-year-old girl she was caring for.

Aisling McCarthy Brady is scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday in Cambridge District Court on a charge of assault and battery on a child causing injury.

The child was taken to the hospital on Jan. 14 with what authorities described as head injuries and healing bone fractures.

The child died two days later.

Authorities say the 34-year-old nanny was caring for the baby alone the day she was hospitalized and was the only one with her when the injuries occurred.

Investigators say more charges may be coming.

Brady could not be reached for comment and it was not clear whether she had hired a lawyer.
