(NECN: John Daly) - Lindsay Lohan could possibly be facing more jail time.

A judge has told the actress that he would sentence her to jail if she accepts a plea deal from prosecutors to avoid trial for allegedly stealing a $2,500 necklace.

If she rejects the deal, and a judge determines there is enough evidence to order her to stand trial, she could be punished because she was still on probation for a 2007 DUI.

Lohan, who has pleaded not guilty, could be sentenced to jail before the case is even tried.

Lohan is due back in court on March 10.
