Onyango Obama sentenced to 1 year probation

(NECN: Ally Donnelly) - Onyango Obama admitted to sufficient facts to charges that he was operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol.

Framingham District Court Judge Douglas Stoddart sentenced the Obama to one year probation and imposed the mandated probation conditions of attending a driver alcohol education program and a license loss of 45 days.

Obama was arrested on scene on Aug. 24 after failing several field sobriety tests and testing for blood alcohol level of .14, almost twice over the legal limit.
