(NECN) - Two of the state's top Democrats are on opposing sides of an audit. One is the former State Auditor, Joe DeNucci. The other is his successor Suzanne Bump.

Today, Bump released the results of the audit she called for when she took office. Among the findings:

The National State Auditors Association faults prior "audit planning, staff competence and reporting." As a result, Bump fired 27 employees and demoted 12.

Bump joins Jim Braude on Broadside to discuss the audit and explain the firings.
