(NECN) - It's time to go on the record with the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce.
Thursday, Chamber President and CEO Paul Guzzi dropped by NECN Business to talk about Massachusetts' unemployment rate, which increased to 6.6 percent. The state added only 3,500 jobs in May.
"The one interesting part ... is the number of people who have entered or reentered the job market here in Massachusetts has spiked up. An additional 9,000 people. So the reason the unemployment rate went up is that we had more people looking for jobs. On the one hand, that's a sign of confidence. On the other hand, we need to be able to grow more jobs to keep up," Guzzi says.
Guzzi also talks about Boston's development boom and more in the attached video.
