(NECN/AP: Jack Thurston, Burlington, Vt.) - Police in Burlington, Vt. continue investigating a shooting at an Occupy Wall Street protested that has left a 35-year-old man in grave condition.

Burlington Deputy Chief Andi Higbee said the public was not believed to be at risk after Thursday's shooting at City Hall Park.

The shooting was reported around 2 p.m. Thursday.

The victim has been identified but that his name would not be released until his family was notified.

News photos showed police tape around the encampment.

The camp has been in place since Oct. 28.
