(NECN) - In tonight's life sciences report, we discuss how researchers are working toward cancer treatments that are tailored to target areas where tumor cells cluster.

Dr. Yolonda Colson joins us to describe the treatments. She is the lead researcher in an advanced cancer-fighting team that recently won the "Kennedy award for healthcare innovation" from CIMT, the Center for the Integration of Medicine, and Innovative Technology. Dr. Colson is the only female Thoracic surgeon at Brigham and Women's Hospital.
