(NECN: Boston, Mass.) - Brooksley Born, former chairwoman of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, was honored this morning with the 2009 John F. Kennedy Profile in Courage Award. Born sounded early warnings on the financial crisis in the United States. The award was presented by Caroline Kennedy at a ceremony at Boston's John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum. "I felt a duty to make every effort I could to address problems," said Born. "My voice was not popular."
