(NECN: Fort Hood) - The thirteen victims killed in the Fort Hood shooting were identified on Saturday evening by Colonel John Rossi, the Deputy Commanding General for Fort Hood.

In identifying the victims, Col. Rossi offered his condolences to their families and friends.

"All of us here at Fort Hood and the local community offer our most sincere condolences to the family and friends of our beloved Army family whose lives were tragically cut short on Thursday," Col. Rossi said. "They were brave members of our Army family -- soldiers and civilians. On behalf of a grateful nation, we salute and honor their patriotism, their service and their memory."
