(NECN: Cary, NC) - Cary, North Carolina Police Chief Pat Bazemore says Nancy Cooper's death is now an active homicide investigation. This morning, Bazemore said police obtained search warrants that will allow them to thoroughly examine her home and vehicles for possible clues connected to her disappearance and murder.

Bazemore emphasized that the victim's husband, Brad Cooper, is still cooperating with authorities and is not a suspect at this time.

The body of Nancy Cooper, a 34-year-old mother of two, was found in an undeveloped subdivision just outside Cary's town limit Monday night.
