| February 16, 2009 Identity of girl found in pond released

(NECN: Brad Puffer, Concord, Mass.) - The identity of a teenage girl, whose body was found in an icy Andover, Massachusetts pond this weekend, has been released.
16-year-old Elizabeth Mun of Wellesley, Massachusetts was pronounced dead Sunday at Children's Hospital in Boston. An autopsy will be conducted.

Mun was last seen around 5am Sunday, when she left a house party on William Street. She was reported missing about two hours later.
Police began a search and Mun was found at about 10:40am.
Mun was a student at Concord Academy, which released a statement mourning her death and describing her as an independent thinker with a finely tuned sense of humor.

Elizabeth Mun was tragically taken from her family and friends. Elizabeth was a student at Concord Academy and previously Dana Hall.
She was a caring and sensitive well liked young lady who had a diverse group of friends.
She enjoyed traveling with her family. Elizabeth was a young lady with many interests which included field hockey, Lacrosse, golf, figure skating. And photography.
Elizabeth aspired to follow her mother's footsteps by attending Brown University.
She leaves behind all too early a loving family. She will be missed by her parents, her older brother, her grandparents,
