(NECN: Amy Sinclair, Portland, Maine) - Thousands of volunteers for and against gay marriage are working to get out the vote as Mainers go the polls.
Voters in Maine today could become the first in the country to uphold gay marriage by a popular vote. That's if they vote down Question One.
The state legalized the law earlier this year, but opponents petitioned to get Question One on the ballot.
If it's passed, it would repeal the law.
