(NECN: Providence, Rhode Island) - A benefit concert was held in Providence, Rhode Island Monday night to honor survivors of the Station nightclub tragedy.
The fire killed 100 people and five years later, the memories of those lost, lives on.
Thousands attended the event at the Dunkin' Donuts Center in Providence. It was the largest benefit to date for the Station Family Fund.
All of the money raised will go to the charity, but for fire survivors, the awareness is also important.
A concert documentary will air on VH1 and VH1 Classic on Easter Sunday and a few times after that.
NECN's Scot Yount has more.
