(NECN/ABC) - Election Day 2008 swept Democrats into office across the country, but Election Day 2009 might bring some backlash against their new policies.

Tuesday, 12 big cities will elect or re-elect mayors.

And Democrats seem most vulnerable in two big gubernatorial races in New Jersey and Virginia.
