| September 26, 2008 Kerry: McCain slowed negotiations
|
(NECN: Oxford, MS) - Massachusetts Senator John Kerry joins NECN via satellite from Oxford, Mississippi, the site of the first presidential primary. He believes that McCain's decision to "suspend" his campaign will adversely affect him. "His descending on Washington slowed negotiations, and delayed our ability to reach a conclusion."
He says that McCain's actions were impulsive, and hopes that voters will see the "grandstanding" he displayed.
Kerry says that although the theme of this debate is foreign policy, it is inevitable that the economic crisis will come up.
