The real estate market enjoyed a particularly successful year in the Boston area.

The Boston Business Journal's real estate editor Catherine Carlock joined NECN to take a look back on some of the biggest deals of 2014.

The largest commercial transaction of the year was 225 Franklin St. in downtown Boston, which went for $590 million. Two Vertex Pharmaceutical buildings in the Seaport District were sold for more than $500 million each.
