Members of NECN's Boston Business Editors roundtable talked about the future of Cape Wind and casino gambling in the Bay State.
National Grid and NSTAR recently ended their contracts to buy power from the proposed wind farm off of Cape Cod. Shirley Leung of the Boston Globe said that the only reason NSTAR agreed to the contract was to merge with Northeast Utilities, and Craig Douglas of the Boston Business Journal added that the economics of the project never made sense.
The editors also discussed Boston Mayor Marty Walsh's decision to sue the Massachusetts Gaming Commission. NECN's Peter Howe said it will be more difficult to approve the plan with transportation officials and the Massachusetts Environmental Policy Act.
In addition, the editors shared some of the unique stories they've been working on recently.
