Both Drivers Charged with DWI Following 2-Car Crash

The drivers of two vehicles that collided in Salem, New Hampshire, on Tuesday night have both been charged with driving while intoxicated

The drivers of two vehicles that collided in Salem, New Hampshire, on Tuesday night have both been charged with driving while intoxicated. 

Around 10:20 p.m. Tuesday, Salem Police and Fire responded to a 2-car crash at the intersection of Main and North Main streets. Several witnesses told police that one driver was going 80 to 90 mph when his vehicle rear ended a vehicle that was exiting North Main Street onto Maine Street.

The driver of that first vehicle, Casey Gurley, 25, of Hampstead, failed a field sobriety test and was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated. He was later released on $2,500 personal recognizance bail.

The driver of the vehicle that was hit, Kyrsis Graham, 21, of Salem, was also charged with driving while intoxicated. She was later released on $1,000 personal recognizance bail.

Both drivers were treated at the scene.

Salem Police said Main Street was shut down for 15 to 20 minutes while emergency crews worked to clear the scene.
