(NECN) - Massachusetts House Speaker Robert DeLeo is looking to bring two resort-style casinos to the state. He is also looking to bring slot machines to racetracks.
DeLeo said his bill, which could come up for a vote in the House in the second week of April, will raise as much as $1.7 billion a year in additional revenue and create 15,000 jobs. It does not specify where the casinos would be built.
Joining NECN for a closer look at the bill in this "Affairs of State" segment is UMASS-Boston's Steve Crosby, Dean of the McCormack Graduate School of Policy Studies.
