(NECN) - You can't always go to the big game and, no matter how big the flat screen at home, it's just not the same.
But going to your favorite gathering place comes close, and, for some, it's even better.
So, this week we begin a new segment that takes us to your very New England sports bar.
We start off with the pride of Newton, Mass.: Buff’s Pub!
Dave Morrissey, the food and beverage manager, has been at Buff’s for 16 years.
Their mascot, Buff, has been around since the pub was established in 1976.
Buff’s is like a home away from home for a lot of people.
When you come to Buff’s, it’s basically taboo not to have the wings, so we welcome the brains and heart behind the best wings in New England, Jim Caruso!
Step 1: deep fry fresh chicken in high-quality oil for 15-20 minutes or longer if you like them extra crispy (which is recommended).
Step 2: put the wings in a large mixing bowl, add traditional frank's red hot buffalo sauce to the chicken, and toss. They do include their own "secret" ingredients.

Step 3: serve the wings with a high-quality blue cheese dressing such as ken's and serve with celery.
