Norwich, Conn. Police Officer Released From Hospital

(NECN) - The Norwich, Conn., police officer who was shot during a standoff Monday is now out of the hospital.

Officer Jonathan Ley was released Thursday from Yale-New Haven Hospital, three days after being shot by a man who later killed himself.

30-year-old Jason Razzino was found dead in his bathroom at the Cedar Glen apartment complex several hours after the standoff started.

Police say he shot officer Ley four times.

Fortunately, Ley, a 38-year-old, 14-year veteran of the police force, was wearing a bulletproof vest that prevented further injury.
