Police and the SWAT team have responded to Crane Road in Ellington, Connecticut, for what state police are calling a “standoff situation.”
Police responded around 6:45 a.m. and have been at the scene for hours.
The road is closed and EMS crews and an ambulance are being kept on standby, officials said.
No additional information has been released.
