Fire officials say two people were injured after a home and surrounding property were hit at least twice by lightning in Maine.
The Portland Press Herald reports both victims were injured Sunday evening in Denmark.
Fire Chief Dana Costello says the first victim was sitting in his car when lightning struck a utility pole, causing it to fall onto the vehicle.
When a firefighter attempted to help the motorist onto a porch, the home was hit by lightning, injuring the firefighter.
Costello didn't identify the victims.
She says neither victim suffered a direct lightning hit. They were treated at Bridgton Hospital and released.
