A man overdosed after injecting himself with heroin while riding in a car on I-93 in Derry, New Hampshire, state police said.
Police responded after the car crashed on the highway around 5:30 p.m. Sunday.
Twenty-three-year-old Ethan Marquis was taken to a hospital and given Narcan before being arrested for possession of heroin. The driver, 23-year-old Jillian Nobert, was also charged with possession and transport of heroin.
Marquis and Nobert are due to return to court on Dec. 12.
