A Bernie & Phyl's employee was hit and killed by a delivery truck in the parking lot of the furniture chain's headquarters in Norton, Massachusetts.
The crash happened outside in the building's parking lot Wednesday afternoon.
Police say 63-year-old Michael Hassett of Foxboro died on the scene.
The circumstances surrounding the incident are unknown.
OSHA is investigating.
"It is with deep sadness that we mourn the loss of a treasured member of the Bernie & Phyl's family," the furniture store said in a statement. "This tragic accident in our parking lot has left us shocked. We cannot even begin to express our sadness and sorrow."
The delivery truck was owned by NEHDS, a subcontractor who delivers furniture for Bernie & Phyl's. Necn reached out to that company for comment but has not heard back.
