1 Killed, 1 Injured in Rollover Crash in Brockton, Mass.

One woman was killed and another suffered serious injuries after their vehicle struck a fire hydrant in Brockton, Massachusetts, and flipped twice.

Police tell The Enterprise that the woman who died was 65 years old, while the injured woman, who was driving the car, was her 20-year-old granddaughter.

At about 2 p.m. Sunday, the car southbound on West Street swerved across the road and struck a fire hydrant on the east side the road before flipping twice and before coming to a rest in the front yard of a home.

The driver was transported by ambulance to the hospital.

No names were immediately released.
