2 Kayakers Rescued From Chilly Waters

They were taken to a hospital and treated for hypothermia

Two kayakers were taken to the hospital after they were rescued from the waters off Boston on Christmas Day.

The men, ages 52 and 49, were paddling in Dorchester Bay at about 2 p.m. Thursday when their kayaks overturned.

The Boston Police Harbor Patrol responded and found the men clinging to a mooring ball about 150 yards from shore. Their kayaks were nearby.

Officers pulled the men into a boat and they were taken to the hospital for treatment of hypothermia. Both men are expected to make a full recovery.

Their names were not released by police.
