Accused Serial Rapist Held Without Bail in 2nd Case

Alejandro Done, an accused serial rapist, was arraigned in Boston Municipal Court on rape charges stemming from a 2007 assault on the Esplanade.

Accused serial rapist, Alejandro Done, hid from cameras behind his attorney in Boston Municipal Court Thursday. He was arraigned for a second time this week on charges of rape.

Authorities say the 36-year-old Uber driver is a violent serial rapist. Some of the allegations against him date back nearly 10 years.

Done pleaded not guilty to a slew of charges stemming from a violent sexual assault along the esplanade in the summer of 2007.

On Monday, he was charged in South Boston District Court in connection with a sexual assault in Moakley Park in 2006.

The Suffolk County DA's office says Done's DNA has connected him to at least six different sexual assaults in Boston. So far he's only been charged in two of them.

In December, Done was arrested in Cambridge while working as a driver for Uber and charged with sexually assaulting a woman who had called the car service for a ride. Investigators say DNA from that case is what has resulted in the charges in Boston.

Done will remain behind bars pending a dangerousness hearing next week.
