The Boston Fire Department was on scene in the city's Dorchester neighborhood for a 4-alarm fire on Wednesday afternoon.
According to the department, the 4-alarm fire broke out around 1:20 p.m in a three-story building.
The fire was knocked down soon after.
The building had three apartments but there were no injuries.
The Boston Fire Chief estimates the damage at $400,000.
Red Cross of Massachusetts was called to assist five displaced adults.
