A Leicester, Massachusetts, man who was armed when he was captured last November after a daylong manhunt has been sentenced to three years behind bars.
The Telegram & Gazette reports that 33-year-old Dean Largesse was sentenced Wednesday to 2½ years in state prison, and a consecutive six-month term in the county jail after pleading guilty to numerous firearms charges and an assault and battery charge.
He was arrested Nov. 28, the day after officers went to his house to arrest him for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend and threatening to shoot her.
He avoided arrest, at one point stealing a boat to row across a lake, until he was caught the next day in Royalston, about 35 miles away.
Police says he was not licensed to have guns.
