Police in Worcester, Massachusetts, say a man who was walking in the breakdown lane on I-146 southbound was struck by a vehicle Thursday night.
The incident happened just after 10 p.m. near exit 12.
Rescue crews took the victim to UMass Worcester Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver did not stop, but drove to the police station to report the accident.
The incident remains under investigation. There is no word on charges.
