Pittsfield Home, With Children Inside, Struck by Gunfire

The latest in a string of shootings in Pittsfield has left a family with children shaken after someone fired several rounds into their house.

Robin White tells The Berkshire Eagle (http://bit.ly/22lDAbj ) that she was making dinner at about 7 p.m. Sunday when an unknown assailant shot at her house.

Bullets pierced the exterior wall on the second floor and an interior bedroom.

She says nine relatives and guests were in the home, including her 6- and 8-year-old sons. No one was hurt but White says everyone is shaken up.

Police combed the area for evidence but have not announced any arrests.

The mayor, police chief and district attorney have scheduled a Monday news conference to address the recent gun violence.
