An Attleboro woman is facing multiple charges after being accused of driving drunk and hitting a man while on a jog Sunday in Seekonk, Massachusetts.
Police said the driver fled the scene following the incident on Route 44, but thanks to Good Samaritans, officers were able to catch up to her.
"Witnesses that were operating behind her, followed her into East Providence," said Seekonk Police Sgt. Eric Chalifoux. "Two vehicles were able to position themselves so they blocked her in."
The woman, who has not yet been identified, was arrested in East Providence.
Police said the jogger, who the suspect struck, is a man in his 50s.
"I just heard a very loud thud and I said, 'something is not right,' and ran to the window and that's when I saw the victim laying on the sidewalk," said witness, Paula Pelletier.
Pelletier said the jogger hit a telephone pole near Sundaes, a popular ice cream spot.

"He was laying on the ground and seemed to be unconscious," Pelletier said. "He was not moving at first. Looked like there was a lot of blood around the head area."
The victim was rushed to Rhode Island Hospital in Providence.
"He's in critical but serious condition — that's all the updates we have," said Sgt. Chalifoux.
Neighbors and joggers told necn that the roadway is dangerous.
"There's a lot of cars here especially speeders and drunk drivers," said Jaden Arruda, of Seekonk.
Residents also say not only is traffic a problem, but so is the landscaping.
"The bushes that are coming out makes it a little more challenging to run but we don't normally come on this road for that reason," said Tanya Arruda, of Seekonk.
Pelletier said she would also like to see the sidewalks cleared along with more patrols.
"It's a risky thing just to cross the street," she said.
The suspect in the case is facing multiple charges and is expected in court sometime this week.
